Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Light Switch Chain Is Stuck?

Sorry to listen to about your mishap.:smileyfrustrated: It sounds such as you may need broken the light switch when the comforter hit it. If the chain doesn’t pull and make a clicking sound any greater than it must be replaced. Not to worry though this is a straightforward DIY job.
I called the manufacture and came upon that the UPC that you simply listed is for a Hampton Bay – Bay Island 52fan.
Here’s a link to it on homedepot.com so that you will get the Instruction Manual. Scroll down till you see the data box after which click on the tab for More Info. It provides you with a few options. Click on Instructions / Assembly to bring up a PDF file of the Owner’s Manual.
Now it’s time to fix that light switch. I’ve helped out just a few other community members with the same issue. So I’m going to give you a link to a previous post that will give you the step-by-step on the right way to replace the switch. There are a couple of additional links within that post which have information on replacing a fan switch also.
With all of that information it’s best to be capable of get your fan light kit shinning bright again.
